On Wednesday 5 August, OSCA welcomed members of the Scotch Family to Zinc at Federation Square for the annual Business Networking Breakfast, a highlight of the
OSCA calendar that brings together Old Boys and the wider Scotch Family for a morning of insightful discussion and connection.
Attendees heard from Andrew Irvine, current Scotch parent and Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of NAB, who shared his perspectives on the forces shaping the Australian economy and global business environment. Drawing on decades of leadership experience across banking and finance, Andrew provided valuable insights into navigating uncertainty, embracing opportunity and leading through change in an increasingly complex world.
The discussion was hosted by Martin Barr (’96), Director of Government Affairs for bp, whose engaging conversation with Andrew explored leadership, decision-making, and the opportunities and challenges facing organisations today.
A hallmark of the Scotch community is the strength
of its connections across generations and industries. The Business Networking Breakfast once again provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to connect with the Scotch Family, expand professional networks and exchange ideas.
OSCA is also proud to support the School’s Future Pathways Program, which connects students with Old Boys and members of the Scotch community to provide career insights, mentoring and industry guidance. If you are interested in supporting this important initiative, please contact the OSCA office: 03 9810 4359.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the event such a success. We also extend our sincere thanks to event sponsors, the OSCA Collegians and JB Were, for their valued support of this event.
