On Wednesday 12 November 2025, OSCA welcomed members of the Scotch Family to the 2025 President’s Dinner held in the Boykett Room at Scotch. The evening began with the Association’s Annual General Meeting, followed by dinner and the presentation of the Honorary Life Membership award for 2024, and Merit Awards were presented to club stalwarts.
Annual General Meeting of the Old Scotch Collegians’ Association | Election of Councillors
The President noted that pursuant to Item 38 of OSCA’s constitution, Messrs Stephen Webster (’73) and Chris McArthur (’81) cease to hold office at the conclusion of the meeting and neither has offered themselves for re-election. Therefore, two vacancies exist on the OSCA Council.
Two nominations were received to fill the vacancies from Charles Blennerhassett (’96) and Robert Bruce (’88) and they were declared duly elected.
Mr Alistair McComas (’00), who was appointed to fill a casual vacancy on the Council after the end of the previous Annual General Meeting, ceases to hold office at the conclusion of this Annual General Meeting and is eligible for election for a new term of office. Mr Alistair McComas offered himself for election, however he tendered his resignation from Council on Tuesday 9 December 2026.
A second vacancy on the Council exists following Ben James’ (’00) resignation on 9 December 2025. Ben’s resignation creates a casual vacancy which will be attended to by the Council.
We thank Stephen Webster (’73), Alistair McComas (’00), Chris McArthur (’81) and Ben James (’88) for their contributions to the OSCA Council.
