Adam Fitzgerald-Quirk (’11) is an award-winning actor and writer currently based in London. After attending Scotch College and studying Film and Television at Swinburne University of Technology, Adam relocated to the UK in 2016 to pursue a career in acting.

His passion for performing developed during his time at Scotch, with the encouragement of the whole Drama Department and Catherine Garrett in particular.

While completing his training at Drama Studio London in 2017, he was awarded the BBC Carleton Hobbs Award and spent 5 months on the BBC Radio Drama Company rep; performing with veteran British actors, including Bill Nighy, Charlotte Ritchie and Ben Miles, in productions for BBC Radio 3 & 4. Since then, Adam has established himself across stage, screen and audio under the stage name ‘Adam Fitzgerald’ – making his television debut in Season 4 of The Crown (Netflix) alongside Richard Roxburgh in 2020 and narrating over a dozen audiobooks to date.

This year, Adam’s debut feature film The Green Deal – directed by Cesar award-nominated Edouard Bergeon and produced by Nord-Ouest – was released in France, starring Alexandra Lamy and Felix Moati.

Adam recently achieved another professional milestone, producing and performing his own full length play called Alright, Alright, Alright for 2 sold-out performances at The Playground Theatre. He aims to develop the show further for a run at the Edinburgh Fringe (or Melbourne Comedy) Festival next year.

When not writing or performing, Adam teaches voice over/audio at Drama Studio London and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama as a freelancer. Now represented by McMahon Management in Australia, he hopes to visit his family in Victoria more often.
