Old Scotch Heritage Club was formed in 2006 to help preserve Scotch’s cultural heritage, to promote the Scotch College Archives, and to encourage the effective use of Scotch’s archival material.
Scotch has a valuable collection of historical memorabilia, documents and records, and it is important that they are properly preserved, catalogued, and available for study and historical research.
It is also important to ensure Old Boys are willing to entrust heritage items to Scotch’s collection.
The Club offers members occasional visits to places of historic and/or archival interest.
The Old Scotch Heritage Club’ is conducting a ‘Trip Down Memory Lane’ visit to Elliott Lodge, Scotch’s superb bush property. Located at 917 Chum Creek Rd Healesville, since 1930 the property has been the bush home to the school’s scouts. Since 2018 it has acquired another role as the venue for House Retreats. Most students now visit the property while at Scotch.
The club is keen to welcome former Scotch scouts who have not visited the property since leaving school. The proposed format for the day is as follows:
