2026 Australia Day Honours

The Old Scotch Collegians’ Association congratulates Old Boys and members of the Scotch Family who were awarded Australia Day Honours on 26 January 2026:

 

  • Professor Stephen Marsden Jane AO (’75)

For distinguished service to medical research, to haematology and translational medicine, to advancing access to clinical trials in regional and rural communities, and to tertiary education.

 

  • Neil Barker OAM (’64)

For service to the wholesale fresh produce sector.

 

  • Rev John Taylor OAM (’57)

For service to the community through a range of organisations.

 

  • Paula Fox AC (past parent)

For eminent service to the arts, to medical research, and to children and youth, through philanthropic giving, fundraising and governance.

 

  • Professor John O’Donnell AM (past parent)

For significant service to orthopaedics as a clinician and mentor.

 

  • Professor Loane Skene (past parent)

For significant service to the law, and to bioethics and medical research regulation. 

 

  • Dr Joseph Tan AM (past parent)

For significant service to paediatric medicine, and to rural health.

 

  • Carolyn Cresswell OAM (current parent)

For service to the food industry as an entrepreneur.

 

  • Alex Del Porto OAM (past parent)

For service to local government, and to the community of Bayside.
