Last night, Scotch College celebrated its 173rd Anniversary with the annual Foundation Day Concert held at the Melbourne Arts Centre.
The inaugural Foundation Day Concert was held on 6 October 1911 celebrating the school’s Diamond Jubilee. Over 600 Old Boys attended a dinner in the Melbourne Town Hall and then marched to the sound of bagpipes to the Exhibition Building where the students of the day performed the first Foundation Day concert.
Last night's concert featured a wide array of performances by the school's talented students, including the Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind, Academy Strings, the Show Band, College and Chamber Choirs, Military Band, Drumline, the Pipe Band, and the Year 12 chorus. It was a truly enjoyable evening filled with music and tradition. ... See MoreSee Less
