Heritage Club

 About the Club

Scotch has a valuable collection of historical memorabilia, documents, and records. It is important that they are properly preserved, that they are available for study and research; and that Old Boys and their families are willing to entrust significant additional items to the school’s collection.
Two main areas of focus:

  1. Support of the School Archivist
  2. Long term plan of a purpose built home for the archives

The aims of the club:

  • To help preserve the cultural heritage of the school.
  • To promote future planning of the archives in all its areas.
  • To encourage effective use of the archival material.

The members of the Heritage Cub are taking active rolls in the archives, under direction of the school archivist, by volunteering their time as available, to particular tasks in the school archives of interest for the betterment of the schools historical records.

A wonderful spirit is developing amongst the O.S.Heritage Club members in achieving these tasks on a team basis.

For enquiry on joining the archival team, please contact the school archivist jim.mitchell@scotch.vic.edu.au. or visit him at the archives – 2 Morrison St on all weekdays except Wednesdays. Telephone 9810 4293.
