| Greg Thomson (as at 2003) Married to Caroline and have two children (Jeanne and Andrew). Taught at GGS, BGS, Scots School Albury (where John Glasscock, my former Social Studies teacher at Scotch, was Deputy Principal), then a year on exchange to the Dragon School, Oxford, UK before returning to Scots. Moved to Queensland as Head of Senior Primary at West Moreton Anglican College (I ran into David Hosking, the Head of Ormiston College, a few times) and I am now Headmaster of Huntley, an independent preparatory boys' boarding and day school on the North Island in New Zealand. A roll of only 152 boys, but 113 are boarders and several are international students (South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan and Rwanda) so that keeps Caroline and I very busy. Caroline is the ESOL teacher for the international students. I also see Nigel Fairbairn ('74) occasionally as he is Rector (Head) of St. Andrews, another independent school, in Christchurch. Recently discovered the delights of Asia and have been to Thailand twice in the last year and also to China, where our daughter was teaching English at a university in Wuhan. Jeanne attended Melb Uni (BSc), Queen's College, and was intercollegiate sportswoman of the year whilst there. She is currently doing post graduate studies at Massey University in NZ. Andrew is at UQ and will graduate with a Business Management degree at the end of this year. He also coaches Rugby at BBC in Brisbane and pulls a good beer at the Criterion Hotel in Toowong. Would love to catch up with any Old Boys from my era, who may be in NZ. |
