Hal Oxley (as at 2003)
Hal Oxley left Scotch at the end of 1933. He attended Royal Military College ( Duntroon ) 1934 to 1937 then graduated into the regular army as Lieutenant.

Hal went in the first wave to the Middle East when the 2nd World War started - No VX80. He fought desert campaigns & Greece 2/8 & 2/5 Infantry Battalions, Siege Tobruk and Syria. He went back to Australia when the Japanese attacked & on General Blamey's Battle H.Q. Then transferred to Gen MacArthur's Battle H.Q. for rest of war. Substantive rank of Lt Colonel. Decorations - O.B.E. Mil., m.i.d.,sc.

After the war he became an industrialist & finally executive director of a public company with 8 factories; he was also voluntary Deputy Director of Intelligence at Army Headquarters for some years. During this period hal became a Christian & finally formed a new church which grew to 1000 people & planted 22 new churches. Founded Oxley College and a co-ed educational college in Melbourne. Hal is now International Chairman of Associated Christian Ministers International which functions in some 30 nations. hal was awarded Doctor of Divinity ( Hon ).

Hal is 86 years old & still very active in world travelling and holding seminars in his stream of influence. He lives on the Gold Coast & his E-mail is haloxley@tpg.com.au
